Police detain foreigners over visa expiry

Hyderabad: The Asifnagar police detained 10 foreigners living in the city beyond their visa expiration dates.
Ashok Chakravarthy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Asifnagar, said, “We have identified ten foreigners from Sudan and Yemen who have been living in the city with expired visas. These foreigners are residents of Asifnagar, Humayun Nagar and Golconda. We want to deport them to their respective countries.”
The police are conducting background checks to find out if they have been involved in any crimes.
